SHEQ Manager

Kepi International Solutions Ltd are currently looking for a SHEQ Manager to join their team. Reporting into the Executive Board, the role holder will provide a wide range of support to all functions and will be responsible for the day to day running of the H&S department in the United Kingdom. The role holder will support the Directors and management team, providing an effective advisory service to management and staff. This is a permanent, full time position.

What the role involves: 

  • Work closely with the Director of Operations to ensure the ongoing development and continuous improvement of health and safety across the business
  • Set and maintain standards of safety, health, environment and quality (SHEQ) practice and deliver relevant awareness training to staff and contractors as appropriate 
  • Offer SHEQ advice to all levels of the business 
  • Develop and monitor KPIs for the business related to SHEQ 
  • Develop a short-term and long-term health and safety plan and monitor its performance 
  • Conduct audits in respect of the construction sites and the off-site manufacturing business and report to the Executive Board 
  • Provide support to the construction site management teams in respect of SHEQ 
  • Assist and support the management of the off-site manufacturing business in their duties to manage SHEQ
  • Be responsible for the Quality Management System 
  • Undertake accident and High Potential Incident investigations, report and communicate to the business on the findings
  • Management and leadership of the SHEQ team
  • Any other tasks commensurate with this post

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential, ideally in a construction/manufacturing environment 
  • Chartered member of IOSH 
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation 
  • Experience of developing health and safety policies and procedures 
  • Knowledge of implementation of management systems ISO27001, ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001
  • Experience of interpreting, advising and implementing such policies and procedures 
  • Experience in lifting operations
  • Experience in Construction operations
  • Experience of working with external regulatory bodies
  • Ability to communicate at all levels 
  • Experience in providing advice and support to senior managers on strategic matters
