Quantity Surveyor

Kepi International Solutions Ltd and SPT Systems, a Member of Kepi International, currently have a vacancy for a Quantity Surveyor to work out of the Head Office in Driffield, East Yorkshire. The Ideal candidate will need to be a motivated self-starter, capable of managing the day-to-day commercial functions of both sides of the business. Travel to various sites around the UK and Europe.

The Successful Candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to)

  • Subcontract negotiations and preparations of orders.
  • Maintain and Build relationships with Commercial and Procurement teams.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and subcontractors.
  • Preparing and pricing tenders, contract documents, including Bills of Quantities for Main Contractors/Subcontractors and End Users.
  • Preparing and analysing costing’s for tenders.
  • Preparing applications/valuations for payment and liaising with Clients.
  • Ability to prepare cost reports including monthly cost/value reconciliation reports.
  • Manage all commercial aspects of multiple projects from enquiry to completion.
  • Undertaking cost analysis for each project and value engineering works.
  • Work closely with the team, adding value and ensuring margins are maintained.

To be considered for the Role, the ideal candidate would have

  • Full Drivers License and Passport
  • Degree Qualified in a relevant discipline
  • Experience working in either a consultancy or developer background
  • Experienced in both pre and post contract work
  • Excellent client facing abilities
  • A Team player with a “can do” attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, and flexible.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office in particular, advanced Excel or other QS software with a keen interest to develop their skills further
  • Knowledge of Quality systems would be beneficial.
  • Have previous experience of working for a Specialist Contractor Subcontracting to Main Contractors and End Users.
